Village Walk

Some practice shots using the new camera on a walk down through the village last week.

A rhododendron flower outside our house.

A detail from the war memorial in Manchester Village square.

A detail from the Mother Myrick's Chocolates sign.

nice crisp closeups. are you using the macro?

those were shot in program mode with the "kit" lens. it's a 18-55mm zoom (which translates to about 28-80 for a film slr lens). the flower was shot at about 9" - the closest you can get to anything. The memorial and mother myricks pics are crops of larger shots. with 6 megapixels you get a lot of detail to play with.
